Young Australians are struggling more than ever. Mental ill health is pervasive, and more young people die by suicide than by another cause in our country. Our goal is to reach 15,000 young people each year and by donating to Raise this tax-time , you are directly supporting our early intervention mentoring programs.
Since our humble beginnings, we have empowered over 5,400 young Australians to become more resilient, capable and connected. We are extremely proud, and we couldn’t have done it without the support of all our volunteers. Whether they’ve donated their time, their treasure, or their talent, it has all contributed to our mission to create thriving communities through our early intervention mentoring programs.
After a decade of program evaluation, we know young people with Raise Mentors experience significant growth in their coping skills, confidence, communication, goal setting, hope for the future and ability to ask trusted adults for help. In doing so we help them achieve critical milestones on the path to a happy and healthy adulthood, such as completing high school and gaining employment.
Our work is far from done.
If Raise Villagers stand beside us, we can deliver on our commitment to impact many more young Australians in need. With a track record of success, an ever-growing skilled volunteer mentor base and the dedication to offer our program to every public secondary school in Australia, we now need to dramatically increase our funding.
