Increasing student engagement and improving wellbeing through youth mentoring
At Raise we do one thing and we do it really well – youth mentoring. We provide a safe, easy-to-implement wellbeing and student engagement strategy that has transformational impact for the whole school community.
Running best-practice, evidence-based programs in partnership with schools since 2008, our one-to-one mentoring solution delivers support and a positive, lasting impact for students, staff, the school and local community.
We recruit, screen and train local volunteers to become Raise Youth Mentors. Our qualified Program Counsellors match up to 15 young people in your school with their own mentor. Together they deliver one-to-one support across a 23-week program in Terms 2, 3 and three weeks of Term 4.
Aligned with the government wellbeing framework, our youth mentoring program provides an opportunity to actively engage students in strength-based approaches to enhance their own wellbeing. Effectively extending the capacity of your wellbeing team by up to 15 hours a week, the mentoring program provides hundreds of hours of additional support each year, enabling you to reach those who would benefit from an independent, caring adult to talk to.
