Philanthropy and major gifts
Donations of this kind can transform the lives of young people in Australia
A major donation to Raise is an investment that can help and save lives of young people as well as creating thriving communities across Australia.
With the future generation front and centre in our effort, there is also an impactful ripple effect that comes from supporting the wellbeing and future of today's teens. The mentors, the schools, and the parents connected to these young people also experience a range of positive outcomes that benefit their lives and everyone around them – the impact you make runs deep into the community and lasts for a lifetime. Equipping young people for the future, your impact is long lasting and hopefully is also passed on to the generations to come.
We measure, report, and track our impact for young people and across the community, so we’ll be able to share with you first-hand how you are making a difference.

As demonstrated in our impact outcomes, mentoring sees improvements in young people’s hope for the future – hope is a buffer against stress, anxiety and suicide ideation.
Through mentoring young people develop trust in adults, improve communications and can ask for help. Developing resilience through our program improves young people’s ability to push through stress, and increases their confidence and coping skills.
Improving relationships with peers and teachers, young people in our program gain a sense of school belonging making them more engaged and likely to achieve academic confidence, leading to better grades and attendance.
Being the youngest, my child was always trying to keep up and has struggled so much with their anxiety. They resisted help because it’s ‘not cool’ and has stigma attached. As a result they acted out. We struggled to get them to school most mornings and they’d get very angry. We couldn’t get help anywhere. Then they started the Raise program.
I wasn’t sure the mentor would be able to engage them because we hadn’t been able to and I knew my child was not going to make it easy.
They immediately felt connected to their mentor and we saw big changes very quickly in their behaviour. It was much easier to get them to school and we didn’t have a fight every morning. They gained more confidence and were able to deal with their anxiety much better. My child told me “it’s been amazing. I don’t get scared anymore. I know if I make a mistake it will be alright and I can sort it out.”
I would 100% recommend this program. It’s a really supportive environment to develop confidence and life skills and learn how to deal with uncomfortable situations, getting through in a positive way. I can’t tell you the positive impact this has had on our family.
My child finished the program saying “this is the year I’m going to get back into study and not be the kid the teachers hate.”
