June, Mentor
“I would have benefited so much from this as a teenager and it’s awesome to give your time to someone else.”
At Raise, we know that early 'upstream' intervention with a mentor makes all the difference in the life of a young person. Since 2008 we have delivered over 1,200 early intervention youth wellbeing programs right across Australia. We've recruited, screened and trained over 10,000 volunteers to become youth mentors. These incredible, everyday people show up week after week as an independent, caring and trusted mentor. Together we've been upstream to support over 15,000 young people. Every program is managed by our qualified counsellors who oversee the smooth, safe and successful delivery of our programs.

“My mentor is very caring, she listens, she gives good feedback, good advice, she isn’t judgmental, overall absolutely AMAZING.”
“The opportunity to provide an hour of personalised time for a student from an adult every week is a gift. In an ideal world I would provide Raise mentoring for every student from Year 7-12 who wanted to have a mentor.”
“Lockdown was a difficult time and my son became depressed. But mentoring was the highlight of his week and helped him get through.”
