Dear Parent / Carer,
We’re inviting your child to participate
in the Raise Group Mentoring program being run at your student’s school, within
school hours.
You should have received some information
about the Raise program from your school.
The program uses a group mentoring model,
where students participate in 10 weekly workshops with a select group of
students. These sessions are facilitated by our qualified Program Counsellors who may be supported by a
small group of Raise volunteer mentors. Raise mentors are comprehensively
trained and screened prior to volunteering in the program and all have a current
working with Children Check for the
relevant state or territory.
The Raise Group Mentoring program has
been designed to build help seeking, resilience, hope and school engagement
skills for the young people participating. Your student has been chosen for this
program by the school in order to provide additional support to your child in
one or more of these areas.
Participation in this program includes
participating in evaluation data collection activities, including, but not
limited to surveys (via online survey tool) and may include a focus group at
the school. The results of the program evaluation are used to help improve the
program for the following year and measure its impact. You can find examples of
questions here.
Raise may use the details provided in the
surveys or focus groups in communications about program experience. Where this
occurs, any identifying details will always be removed to protect the privacy
of students and ensure an individual student's experiences cannot be
recognized. Or attributed to them.
To allow your child to participate in the
program, please complete the consent form via the link sent to you by your
child’s school.
Participation is not permitted without a
consent form and places are limited.
